Great read!!!! I've always been a huge fan of the movies & reading the book (with so many more details & parts added) almost makes you feel like you're seeing a whole new sequel!!! I'm so happy I got this book!

CHILD'S PLAY 2 RULED!

This book, was simply amazing. It gave me doll nightmares for a week! Ladies and gentlemen, if you thought the movie trilogy for Child's play was awesome, you're going to love this book!
It of course begins with Chucky the doll's reincarnation, and the reader dicovers his plot to gain human form. Poor Andy Barclay winds up in foster care and is just recovering from his latest Chucky encounter, that happened two years back. Now in the care of Phil and Joanne simpson, Andy begins life a-new. But what Andy soon discovers, is that Chucky's creators, (the play pal executives), are planning on bringing the Good Guy doll's back on the market.
Before he knows it, Andy is thrust back into Chucky's evil, twisted plot for human form; and finds himself and his foster sibling Kyle, to be in grave danger.
READ IT FOR THE ENDING- IT'S BETTER THAN THE MOVIE!!!!

Surprisingly well-written

There's nothing wrong with Don Mancini's screenplay, but at 84 minutes (snip off 4 for end credits) you're probably left with a sparse 80 pages. Matthew J. Costello could have done a simple cut and paste job and hammered out a bland 150 pages, but instead he really expands on the material and gives it his own edge. We get to see into the minds of Andy and Chucky and learn more about their past. Classic literature it ain't, but the fact that Costello put more effort into it than expected puts it in the top tier of novelizations that I've read.
He does run out of steam somewhat in the fact act as in the movie the excitement is mainly generated through images and music, which doesn't translate very well to print. It's my only quibble for a novel that is otherwise a lot of fun and priceless for fans of the series.
