Like the cars that American motors built, solid reference information concerning AMC's products is getting scare. The Standard Catalog of American Motors is a good, but not great, addition to the American Motors enthusiast's library given the occasional gaff in the text. But, all things considered, a good value for the price.

Great reference book for the Last Independent automaker..

This is an excellent book, which ties together the entire history of the car from the early Jeffery thru Nash, and with the merger of Nash and Hudson, into the last form of independent automaking until it's death in 1987 ( although some '88 models were sold ).
Many technical sections, covering models and options, history and photos, experimental models. While not 100% accurate, there are some bloopers, it is about as close to fully documenting AMC's history as has been done nowhere else. A fine addition to anyone's home library.
